Don’t Click It - a fun and original site that raises awareness to how often we use our mouse to click on things. It made my wrists hurt a tiny bit (and go a little bit numb) after while from the very conscious feeling of not clicking on something. Very neat.
Does anyone actually clean behind their ears? I always forget that there’s a place that require cleaning behind the ears. I guess most of the time soapy shampoo water that trickle from my hair around and behind my ears is the only form of hygiene it gets.
The layout I was planning for my crafts blog has been remade to be the layout for this blog. I cannnot stand how generic and plain this current layout. I figure that given how much Uni work I have to do, I wouldn’t have much time working on crafts any time soon anyway. I’ll probably work on that in the holidays which would be sometime in April I think.

Does it strike anyone else that the “:)” smiley face MSN doesn’t look very happy at all? It kinda looks like a fake smile, maybe a “I’m smiling because I’m supposed to, but you’re actually not bringing me any joy” smile? Maybe that’s just my temporary interpretation based on mood.

Bah, not the best two weeks… I’m sick again with a cold. Must’ve caught it from my grandma on Lunar New Year. -_- Well hopefully, I’ll get all this sicking out of the way before Uni starts.
I’m looking forward to the winter this year (somewhat). Usually I hate winter because I can’t stand cold weather (I always feel one doesn’t get much done when it’s cold) but this winter will be a good excuse to knit stuff to wear! It feels pretty weird knitting my scarf while it’s blazing hot outside.
Did I mention to you guys that one of my hobbies (at least in the past two or so years) has been reading web-comics? Anyway, found a funny one today: Lucid TV. WARNING, some of the humour is quite black! But nonetheless, I think the absurdity is pretty hilariously done… like this one!. Man, I should make a links list of all the web comics I read.

Squee!
On an impulse, after seeing a link on Amanda’s blog, I’ve decided to join…
Blogathon 2007!
I love the idea of making myself blog every day for a month, I was devastated that I *just* missed out joining Nablowrimo last year.
I realise that it doesn’t take these events to make myself blog everyday. But it’s good motivation! Maybe it’s the reward of being linked, maybe it’s the fuzzy niceness of knowing that people are blog in the same “event” as you (odd, I’ve never considered general “blogging” to be a social event, even though it involves social networks usually).
So… does anyone listen to podcasts?
P.S. Woah, I just realised that I posted at the exact same TIME as the last post! :o

I crocheted a mushroom container. :3
I’ve added a page in toybox to more information about the pattern as well as my edits to it here. My mum has told me to make a few more to give to various family members… ah well more practice for me. :P I’m afraid I’ve almost run out of good things to crochet. I’ve been pattern hunting but many of the clothing like sweaters and stuff just don’t appeal to me. I’m thinking of starting to learn how to knit but eeep it looks so intimidating. O_O
Anyway about web 2.0 particular the “styles” of web-design that it has fostered. I don’t particularly like it. There, I’ve said it. At first when web 2.0 layouts starting popping up, I really liked the whole “shiny” look that many of them had. I like how it looked so sleek, how all the buttons and stuff are rounded and pleasing on the eye. I especially like the use of bright colours on black backgrounds.
But you know what, it’s starting to suck because it’s EVERYWHERE. Good for you that you know how to use gradients to go from white to “insert bright colour”, encase it with a border with round edging. Good for you that you can use the default many-corner stars shape thing in Photoshop to create that sticker look: for example here (upper right corner) and here (middle). A bunch of people did amusing web-2.0fied versions of big brands.
So yes. While web2.0 is cute, gives things a more “streamlined” look, ultimately because everyone makes the same looks, it so easily makes a site lose any personality. Even if it’s readable and all that, I can’t help but give it a big mental stamp saying “trendy!” on it. It makes a site not memorable in any way, at least in terms of layouts.
