Happy Lunar New Year!

Total amount of money received from red envelops: $40. Not too bad. :D Apparently I’m supposed to start handing out red envelops of my own to those younger than me once I get married. Another reason to not marry!

Other than that, I just had dinner with my extended family. Was put in charge of taking care of the little kids. Gosh, where do they get all their energy from? -_-

So Far So Good…

I ended up ordering Phoneix Wright: Ace Attorney as well. Yes, I’m aware that that is the Japanese release but I was assured that the English option in the release is identical to the US release. I was amazed that the order was apparently shipped just hours after I placed the order, and I’m really hope it’ll get to me soon. If all goes to plan, I would have saved around AU$70 on the games (compared to buying them from Australia)! *fingers crossed*

Phoenix Wright

Okay, I ordered Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All yesterday night from Play Asia. I’ve never ordered a game from the internet before and I’ve read reviews about Play Asia and majoratively, the reviews were very good. The game (plus shipping) came to about AU$37 (US$28) so that’s heaps cheaper than buying DS games in Australia. I’m just hoping that everything goes smoothly. >_<

I only just realised that it’s the sequel to the first Phoenix Wright game, so for those who’ve played both, can you tell me if it’s okay (in terms of spoilers) to play the sequel before the first game? The first game won’t be out in Australia till March (yes, we’re so incredibly slow here) and it’ll be quite pricey too (about AU$70) so I may be just play the sequel first. Stupid Amazon has it for a more affordable price but gah, it won’t ship the game to Australia. WTF.

And no… I don’t have a DS yet. But I thought, no point in investing in a DS until I have a game to play on it. :P

I’M SO NERVOUS I HOPE THE GAME ARRIVES OKAY!!! *pulls at hair*

Origami Flower

I haven’t made origami for a long while so I sat down this morning and made an origami rose from the rose pattern on this site (at the time of writing, it appears to be temporarily down). The rose measures to be about 4.5cm (almost two inches) by 4.5cm. It was tricky, sometimes a little confusing but it’s very doable. I don’t have green paper so I didn’t make the stem. Still, I think it’s rather pretty. :P

A BLOG meme?! Never!

I got tagged by me Belinda! :D

The game: Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs!

I don’t really have habits that are secret to people I know offline, but here are some things that online folks might not know.

  1. While my favourite colour used to be yellow/gold, I don’t have much of a favourite colour anymore. It really varies with mood.
  2. I like cleaning dishes and the kitchen.
  3. I like filing (papers) and organising things (that’s why being a librarian would be so awesome) but my room is a mess most of the time.
  4. While grammar is a weakness of mine, I habitually correct people saying “so-and-so and me” with “it should be ’so-and-so and I’”.
  5. Sometimes I get irrationally afraid in bed that I’ll get insomnia and I’ll be awake and the darkness would creep me out and images of horror movies would be evoked and I’ll have a terribly frightening night (it has happened before, but rarely).
  6. I have a habit of hoarding games and books, with only sometimes finishing playing/reading the things I bought/borrowed.
  7. I hate clothes and shoes shopping.
  8. I saw the Star Wars movies from episode one to six in order. Darth Vader was pretty cool, but I’m constantly reminded that under that costume, there will always be that little whingy Anikin.
  9. I always wanted an old-fashion gramophone.
  10. I never mastered typing on the number pad and would usually just type sequences of numbers with the numbers above the alphabet keys on the keyboard.

I tag: Rose, Amanda, Kudarania, Tara, Stephanie and Mei. No pressure on any to have to do this, and if anyone wants to play along, feel free! :D
