The reading load for the law subjects are incredibly bad. For taxation class alone, our tutor assigns us 63 pages of readings (which he calls “light reading”) to be read in 3 days. Gonna be a pretty intense semester. :S

The blogathon will be over in 10 minutes and it’ll be my dad’s birthday (1st March)! It’s been fun, a bit hard to write everyday though. Still, it was a nice challenge. We got a lot of rain and storms this week, I guess as the last bit of Summer rain before we move into Autumn, my favourite season! :3

HOLD IT!

WOOT! It came in the mail (though it was the later one that’s shipped… the earlier one still has yet to arrive)! That’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and yes the cover and inside booklet is the Japanese release of the game. I weren’t able to find the US or European release of the game anywhere online that would ship it to Australia for under AU$70 (which would be how much the game costs when it’s released here in March). However, there’s an English option when you start playing the Japanese release and the English is impressively professionally done, without any messy Engrish. Tim paid for a black DS Lite (no picture yet, the DS Lite and Phoenix Wright are at his house at the moment) when we rushed to a gaming store before class. It came with Nintendogs so that’s alright. The package came to less than AU$200 so that’s an okay price I think.

And Phoenix Wright has been so fun! I didn’t expect how challenging the investigation and trials were, while still being entertaining and funny. I’m still in the middle of my second case, and I can’t wait to continue it. Yay, DS Lite! :D I feel so hip!

Expensive books

Tired. Had uni today. Bought about $100 worth of books, about another $300 to go. Tim is nice enough to help out to pay for some of it. Damn law textbooks for their frequency of updating editions so buying past, used editions is useless. Sellers of past editions of books that I can use haven’t been responding.

And it’s been raaaaaaaaaaaaining allllllllll daaaaaaaay.

But enough glum news! I’ve been working on crocheting a cozy for my camera. Designing cozies are harder than I thought. Still, perservance! :D

My mum bought this amazingly awesome Korean orange conserve thing that tastes absolutely GREAT when mixed with water. It came in a big jar and looked kinda gross (it was this very goopy orangey/yellow liquid with orange rinds floating inside). However, a few spoon fulls mixed with water makes the most refreshing and delicious orange drink I’ve ever had. Apparently the magic is fresh oranges and lots of honey. I must investigate into this.

Pre-Uni

Damn you server-downtime!! I came home quite late and there were only 1/2h until yesterday was over but I wasn’t able to access my blog. Bah. Two posts for today then! So yes, later today I’ll be attending my first Uni lecture and tutorial for this year. Oh joy. -_- I can’t believe I’m in 4th year already!

Must buy Uni textbooks ASAP (readings will undoubtedly be issued in the first classes). The queues would be atrocious and worse of all… SO EXPENSIVE!

So much to do!

Sometimes I get the urge to review sites again. I had a review site back about 5 years ago (how time flies!) but it was closed due to disinterest and basically a lack of time. However, my interest in offering my opinion on the appearance and content of a site does flair up every once in a while, and I fancy myself applying to a reputable site reviewing site. But alas, I think realistically I’ve already got too much on my plate. For example:

Craft related

  • Finish current crochet project
  • Finish knitting scarf
  • Start on making an awesome Nintendo DS cover (which would involve learning how to cross-stitch -_-)
  • Probably design a bag based on the great patterns in my book
  • Make something from the many patterns and tutorials I’ve collected

Site related

  • New layout on this place (have a tiny start on it)
  • New layout and content for craft domain
  • Maybe new layout for iNET (the current one is really too old!)

Everything else

  • Play my DS games when they come
  • Finish NWN2 (near chapter 3!)
  • Finish reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins (I’m more than halfway through!)

And university starts on Monday. -_- But I refuse to be stressed out by my hobbies because that’s not what hobbies are about, right? All in good time. :D
