Snail
Craft, Photos September 3rd, 2007Completely on a whim, I crocheted a snail.
It was fairly easy to make (though the pattern instructions were a tad bit confusing), started on Friday afternoon and finished yesterday night. I love his little antennae, though the photos make it look like it has tiny cat ears. Oh well! :3 I’m thinking of making him a little beret and/or scarf.
Well, not really finished, as he needs a face still! Below are the ones I’ve come up with (badly photoshopped, mind you :P). TELL ME WHICH ONE YOU PREFER! Of course, completely new suggestions are more than welcome! Note: I can’t guarantee that the end product might look anything like the pictorial representation (I have non-existent embroidery skills at the moment) but I’ll try! Currently my favourites is the one with the moustache and the first smiley one. :)
Oh btw, his name is Oscar Gou. COME ON, IT’S A PUN!! *is lame*

Oh, the one with the moustache! Then his seedy French moustache can match his cute pun of a French name! :P (I didn’t think it was lame, I thought it was funny!)

That’s going to be insanely cute once it’s finished and I think the second face matches with the name Oscar Gou.

Without a doubt you’ll have to go for the moustache. It just wouldn’t be the same if not! It looks great. :D

Lol that is so cute! My first feeling is to go with the first one without the smile because I like eyes positioned low and far apart for cute things. :P Upon inspecting the moustache though, that’s adorable too.

It’s so cute (moustache snail is the cutest though ^^). When ever I see that you have crocheted something cute it makes me wanna crochet too.

Aww he is so cute! I like the first two also. I would never be able to make something like that. I don’t know how to crochete. I can’t really sew either. :/ I’m pretty sure my boyfriend can do both though. :P Slightly backwords there. lol

Your snail turned out really cute:) But, I’d love to know why you found the pattern “a tad bit confusing”… just so I know for my next patterns.
As for the faces, I like 1 and 4, and I think the end result might look very similar to the photoshoped images you made.
