Today my friends and I went shopping for another friend’s birthday present. As a detour, we wandered around the women’s clothing section of Myer. It was plenty helpful to me as one of said friend is quite a shopaholic (the clever money-saving type) who seemed to be a total natural at picking what’s the “right” thing to wear. So I had heaps of questions for her about work clothes that added to my modest database of knowledge on the matter. What really helped was that she threw clothes at me to try and I finally found an official answer to what size I am.
Apparently I fit quite comfortably into size 6-8 shirts (Australian sizes, the internet tells me that’s probably an equivalent US 4-6) and that’s okay though those sizes can be a bit uncommon. However, when it comes to pants… even a size 6 (I’m assuming that would be US 4?) is way too big; too long and too loose at the waist/hips. What would be PERFECT is if they sold size 4s but alas they don’t… well at least Myer doesn’t. Argh. Now I have to look into perhaps finding out how to alter them, preferably myself. -_-’ Oh well! All this knowledge is a step in the right direction anyhow! Now that I have a permanent version of this information, I’d at least always know what size I am.
