I watched it today! It was quite good (I didn’t know it was a Spanish film) though not really warranting a 96% goodness in my books. I really liked the whole fantastical elements of it (the toad part struck me as being really awesome and the baby-eating monster was pretty scary cool) though I think it fell apart a bit with the whole rebellion thing (though I understand to be important for the theme of the story). I really liked how the faun was depicted; I felt a bit cheated by how Mr. Thomnas in Narnia was really just a man with goat feet. The faun in Pan’s Labyrinth looked really bizarrely non-human and I think that really adds to the fantasy. The film was also a little more violent than it needs to be I think, or maybe it seems that way because I didn’t feel much for the people who were hurt. On the whole, I do recommend it, it’s one of the better movies out there.

On another note, I don’t have an iPod, I still listen to music burnt on a disc and listen on a discman. I listen to podcasts but get mp3s of it and listen on Winamp, and I cannot stand iTunes. I would one day like to own an iPod though, they seem much more convenient than burning CDs (less bulky too!). Ah well, got to save money.
