Yeah I know, I’m a day late but I got everything ready yesterday but my connection screwed up the whole freaking day. But anyway.

Happy new year!!!! Wow already 2004. Doesn’t that sound rather futuristic? We’re already 5 years past the apocalyse foretold by X/1999, 4 years past the End of the World as predicted by Nostradamus and 11 years till huge metallic angels from the heavens come to wreck havoc on our little planet as warned by Neon Genesis. 2003, disappeared in an agonisingly slow flash, the last big hurdle known as high school finally behind us, and an even bigger hurdle known as University before us.

But enough reminiscing, Que Sera, Sera, what will be, will be! ^^ Anyhow, reoccuring visitors might have noticed a little difference in this blog. Namely the layout. At the last stages of implementing the layout into Movabletype, I realised that the little shapes in the top right corner looks kinda like the MT logo. That’s purely a coincidence. Kudos goes to Fiona for helping me with the coding and things. The coding and conversion to MT took the longest time and now IT’S FINALLY DONE! *smiles satisfiedly*

Gah!!!!! I don’t like the layout! >< The colours are pissing me off. And to think that I was actually content with it… that is, before having to stare at it for 6+ hours. Anyhow, I’ve gotten used to the font (Georgia), but I would prefer Verdana, as sans serif fonts are easier to read onscreen. Does anyone have problems with reading it? Are the link colours ok?

In other news, my friends and I saw LotR, RotK! AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!! That was a really good, dramatic end to the trilogy (although the ending was a bit draggy). I didn’t feel the 3 1/2 hours go by, I was totally glued to the screen. The massive setting and the sheer amount of people and detail… it’s mind boggling. I’d love to see the rest of the scenes they cut out. There’s so much dedication flowing from the movie, that in itself deserves praise. The trilogy is definitely THE best movies I’ve seen, and definitely the best book adaption. I think I’ll read the books again. *minor spoiler* One scene that struck me was when Denethor committed suicide by running over the cliff side. Different from the book, but no less dramatic. That one scene seemed so ironic to me, as he hurdles to his death, he must have seen the valiant aid from Rohan, the very people whom he had so bitterly said wouldn’t come. In his last moments, he might have realised the foolishness of his despair, a bit too late. Anyhow, Gollum kicked ass, stole every scene he appeared in. I’d love to start collecting the movies on DVD (when I get the money).
